Note: DataBridge will still be running in the cloud but will connect to your local SuperOffice CRM environment using via the NetServer Web Services via the internetpublicly exposed SuperOffice Web API.

Requirements

...

  • SuperOffice version 8.4 R08 or newer;
  • SuperOffice System User.
  • SuperOffice Web API needs to be accessible from the internet ;The NetServer Web Services have to use through HTTPS;
  • SuperOffice 7.5 or higher;
  • A SuperOffice CRM system user.

1. Prepare NetServer

If you are using Pocket CRM your NetServer Web Services have already been configured. You can move on to the next step.

If not, follow the steps in ‘Prepare Server’ in the SuperOffice documentation on configuring NetServer for Pocket CRM.

Also make sure to read the documentation on deploying NetServer securely: https://community.superoffice.com/en/technical/documentation/prepare/security/deploy-securely/

1.1. Additional steps for SuperOffice 8.0 or 8.1 or 8.2 R01

If you are using SuperOffice 8.0 or 8.1 or 8.2R01 some additional files need to be deployed on the SuperOffice web server. Extract Services75.zip (attached to the end of this article) to your 'Remote' folder of SuperOffice web or NetServer installation. The same folder should already contain a folder called Services80:

2. Verify NetServer

Verify the Remote NetServer installation by opening a browser and browsing to the web services:
http://<address>/Remote/Services<xx>/person.svc

Examples:

When using a SuperOffice version equal to or higher than 7.5 and lower than 8.2 R01: Use Services75
https://servername.yourcompany.com/SuperOffice/Remote/Services75/person.svc

When using a SuperOffice version equal to or higher than 8.2 R01 and lower than 8.4 R06: Use Services84
https://servername.yourcompany.com/SuperOffice/Remote/Services84/person.svc

When using a SuperOffice version equal to or higher than 8.4 R06: Use Services86
https://servername.yourcompany.com/SuperOffice/Remote/Services86/person.svc

If the Web Services are exposed correctly you see the following screen:

1. Prepare SuperOffice APIs

DataBridge connects to your locally hosted SuperOffice installation. To do so, your SuperOffice installation needs to expose its Web API. This needs to be done in a secure way.
In the current SuperOffice installations, the Web API is switched on by default and may not need to be configured.

Security based on filtering IP addresses is possible; further down this page, you'll find the IP addresses that DataBridge uses to connect to your SuperOffice instance.

If all is set up correctly you should be able to 'contact' the Web API by visiting this URL, where you replace the obvious part with your (sub)domain.

  • https://<your_SuperOffice_url>/api

Details about configuring the Web API can be found here: https://docs.superoffice.com/en/onsite/install/netserver/setup-rest.html
It might be a bit technical. If you are not able to perform the configuration and testing yourself, please contact your SuperOffice consultant.

Info
If you have set up DataBridge with your SuperOffice Onsite installation before January 6, 2022 then you might have used a URL to Netserver Services (i.e. https://<your_SuperOffice_url>/Remote/Services86).
You don't need to change the URL to point to the Web API instead of Netserver Services. DataBridge will make sure it finds the Web API.
Only if you experience troubles when DataBridge tries to connect to SuperOffice Onsite, please edit the connection details by entering the URL to Web API.
