Differences between Exchange Online Synchronizer and Synchronizer for SuperOffice
Overview
Although the Exchange Online Synchronizer (installed onsite) and the Synchronizer for SuperOffice (cloud product) have the same purpose, they are actually different products.

Hardware / Software
Hardware
Exchange Online Synchronizer requires its own hardware where the software is installed, whereas Synchronizer for SuperOffice runs in the cloud on the Microsoft Azure Platform.
Software
System Administrators are responsible for maintaining and updating the Exchange Online Synchronizer software. Synchronizer for SuperOffice runs in the cloud and regular updates will be performed automatically ensuring you always use the latest version.

The differences in functionality between Exchange Online Synchronizer and Synchronizer for SuperOffice are listed in the table below.
