Maximum redirection hop count has been reached

Overview

What to do when you connect your synchronizer profile and you see this error:

Unable to connect to Microsoft Exchange. Please verify your settings.
The maximum redirection hop count has been reached.

How to

This has to do with the Autodiscover running in a loop. Try to connect with Autodiscover turned off.
Note: You will have to provide the EWS and OAB URL manually, more info.
