Creating the API key

Overview

With SuperOffice for Mailchimp a SuperOffice user is able to transfer a SuperOffice selection with Companies & Contacts to MailChimp. In order to do so an API key needs to be created in MailChimp and added in the SuperOffice for MailChimp settings.

How to

  1. Go to https://mailchimp.com/ and log in with your MailChimp account

  2. Make sure you have at least one Audience defined; it may be an empty Audience.
    Note: Depending on the subscription/plan you have, you are allowed to create one or more Audiences

  3. Click Integrations (left menu)

  4. Click API keys

  5. Click Create A Key

     

The next step is to add the MailChimp API key into the settings of the SuperOffice for MailChimp app. See the chapter Add the MailChimp API.

 

Alternative way of finding the API key section in Mailchimp

As an alternative you can follow these steps to go to the API section in Mailchimp

Profile > Extras > API Keys > Create a key
