Overview

Although the Exchange Online Synchronizer (installed onsite) and the Synchronizer for SuperOffice (cloud product) have the same purpose, they are actually different products.

On this page we will give an overview of the differences between both products.

Hardware / Software

Hardware

Exchange Online Synchronizer requires its own hardware where the software is installed, whereas Synchronizer for SuperOffice runs in the cloud on the Microsoft Azure Platform.

Software

System Administrators are responsible for maintaining and updating the Exchange Online Synchronizer software. Synchronizer for SuperOffice runs in the cloud and regular updates will be performed automatically ensuring you always use the latest version.

Users can only be linked by the administrator of the server

Date Range

The synchronization period is adjustable. This period is default set to 30 days in the past and 120 days in the future

The synchronization period is not adjustable. The Synchronization period is set to 7 days in the past and 180 days in the future
