Use case - Create a SuperOffice selection from ERP

You have a list of customers, contact persons, or orders in your ERP, and you'd like to have those in a SuperOffice selection to start a marketing campaign. That would be great, right?

With the right DataBridge tricks, you can create such SuperOffice selections from your ERP data. All you need is a reference to the ERP -or any other platform- to SuperOffice, like having the company debtor number from ERP available in SuperOffice or having the unique SuperOffice sale number available in ERP.

If you have that in place, you only need a file with those unique numbers. It does not matter if it is a Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, CSV or XML file. And it is okay if more data is in your file. However, you will be only using the unique reference.

Let's look at the trick that makes your life easier.
Create a new DataBridge profile with your available file as a source and SuperOffice as the target. In the 'Configure Source' step, ensure your file settings are correct and that the column with the unique reference is visible in the preview. Now fast forward to step 'Configure Fields' and connect your unique reference to the field in SuperOffice that holds the same value.

You made it so far. Good!
Now we get to the more critical step: 'Destination Settings'. In the 'Duplicate Match' field for your entity, make sure you select the SuperOffice field that is mapped to the unique reference from your source file. And for the 'Action' field, choose 'Merge - Update empty fields' and set the 'Skip if not found' field to 'Yes' to make sure that DataBridge does not try to create new items in SuperOffice. Finally, make sure that the 'Add updated <your entitity> to selection' is set to 'Yes' too.

The next step is the 'Profile Settings' tab in which you will probably opt for the 'Manual' schedule. If you save the profile, you can start uploading your source file and let DataBridge do the work.

Look for the selection named 'DataBridge [the current date and time] updated companies'. Once you find that, you are free to use any of the features of your favourite CRM platform to get in contact with your customers.
